TorreyCommerce Offers Gift Cards for its Websites

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - September 01, 2009 -- Continuing to expand its offering of e-commerce features, TorreyCommerce introduces gift cards in time for the holiday season. Gavin Mandelbaum, CEO, hopes to see fewer returned items and customer service requests typical of holiday gift giving. He also expects the gift card feature to attract last-minute shoppers searching for convenient yet thoughtful presents without the wrapping paper.

Plastic gift cards are available, but most are electronic: the recipient is notified of his gift via e-mail. Upon checkout, he enters a unique code to use the balance toward his purchase.
