'Shop by Color' Drives Sales Higher

We asked the consumer how she shops for home furnishings online. An overwhelming number of the respondents listed color as a critical variable in their online shopping decision. Up until now consumers were forced to sort through huge amounts of products with little or no color information. TorreyCommerce has simplified the color equation. Consumers now see color swatches on category pages and can sort categories by color.
There were many complexities that we had to overcome for Shop by Color to work properly. Not the least of which is the funky names that the home fashion industry assigns to colors. Our proprietary technology filters millions of different colors into 15 simple (and easy to shop) color groups.
